The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services provides certified copies of birth certificates for a fee of $12 to the bride, groom or children and grandchildren of the bride or groom. Certificates can be obtained by mail or in person. In person is the fastest way to obtain a certificate and ordering by mail is the slowest way to obtain a certificate.
